Making a Full Clone of a Linked Clone
It is possible to make a full clone from a linked clone, using the Clone Virtual Machine Wizard.
  • The linked clone can be used as before.
  • The full clone created with this action is an independent virtual machine that does not require access to the linked clone or its ancestors.
    • Note: To make a full clone from a linked clone, Workstation must have access to the linked clone and all ancestors at the time you run the Clone Virtual Machine Wizard. Refer to Linked Clones and Access to the Parent Virtual Machine.
