Snapshot Manager : Snapshot Actions

Snapshot Actions
The command buttons in the Snapshot Manager allow you to perform the following actions on snapshots:
Click Take Snapshot when you have You Are Here selected in the snapshot tree to take a new snapshot of the current state of the virtual machine.
Click Clone to create an independent copy (clone) of the virtual machine from the snapshot.
For information about cloning virtual machines, refer to the chapter about cloning a virtual machine, in the VMware Workstation User’s Manual.
Click Delete to remove the selected snapshot or recording. This action does not affect the deleted snapshot’s children (those snapshots or recordings stemming from the selected snapshot).
Snapshots cannot be deleted from a template virtual machine. For more information on templates, see the chapter about cloning a virtual machine, in the VMware Workstation User’s Manual.

Note If a snapshot itself has been cloned, it becomes locked. If you delete a locked snapshot, the clones created from that snapshot no longer operate.
Click Go To to restore the virtual machine to the state it was in when the selected snapshot was taken.
Click Replay to return the virtual machine to the state it was in when the recording was begun. The virtual machine then goes through the same activities it did throughout the time the recording was made.
