The snapshot tree in the top of the Snapshot Manager window displays a hierarchy of all snapshots and recordings currently present on this virtual machine. The You Are Here icon represents the current state of the virtual machine.
• Click a snapshot or recording to select it. To select more than one, Ctrl+click the desired snapshots and recordings. You can then click one of the command buttons.
• Double-click a snapshot to revert the virtual machine to that snapshot. Double-click a recording to replay the recording.
• Right-click a snapshot or recording to display a context menu with commands available for that snapshot or recording:
• Choose Go to Snapshot to open the selected snapshot as though you had clicked the Go To Snapshot button.
• Choose Replay Recording to place the virtual machine in the state it was in when the recording was begun. The virtual machine then goes through the same activities it did throughout the time the recording was made.
• Choose Clone This Snapshot to create a stand-alone virtual machine called a clone. For information on clones, see Snapshot Actions.
• Choose Delete Snapshot/Recording to delete the selected snapshot or recording. This has no effect on existing snapshots or recordings taken from the selected snapshot. It also has no effect on other recordings.
• Choose Delete Snapshot/Recording and Children to delete the selected snapshot or recording and all snapshots or recordings based on the selected snapshot.
Note If a snapshot has been cloned, it becomes locked. If you delete a locked snapshot, the clones created from that snapshot no longer operate.
• Place the mouse pointer over a snapshot to display the full name of that snapshot. This technique is helpful when a long name is truncated in the snapshot tree.
