You use the Annotation dialog box to define an annotation component in an XML schema file. You use an annotation to specify schema comments. An annotation can contain one or more appinfo and documentation sub components. XML schema tools lets you work with annotation components and documentation sub components. appinfo sub components are not supported in this release.
You open the Annotation dialog box by right-clicking an annotation component and choosing Customize from the pop-up menu.
- Documentation. When you access the dialog box for the first time, there are no Documentation fields. When you have added documentation sub components, each documentation sub component appears in its own Documentation area.
- Add Documentation. Adds a Documentation area for a documentation sub component to the dialog box.
- Remove. After you add documentation sub components, you can delete those sub components by clicking the Remove button in the corresponding Documentation area.
