Setting the C and C++ Code Completion Dialog Box Delay

By default, the code completion box is automatically displayed whenever you pause for more than 500 milliseconds after typing a period.

To set the code completion delay to a different value:

1. Choose Tools > Options and click Advanced Options.
2. Expand Editing > Editor Settings and select the C and C Editor. The Editor properties are displayed in the right pane of the Options window.
3. Select the Delay of Completion Window Auto Popup property and set it to the desired delay in milliseconds.
